Focus is one of the most widely discussed topic these days in the area of personal development. Books have been written about it, even apps are now been developed to help people concentrate and get things done.In most cases, it is considered a critical attribute of genius. We even believe it has an effect on academic performance,career success and by extension,a person’s quality of life.
One of the best definitions I have found for focus is’ selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other things’. I like this definition because it chooses some very interesting words to define the term focus. This means we need to select from on the options available to us. We need to decide what is it that merits our attention and we would give our attention to. This is difficult seeing the life we live everyday. The technology around us, the noise of everyone and everything demanding our attention.
If you are someone like me whose mind leaps from one topic or object to the other at will you might consider this case hopeless. However, there is evidence to show that we can all develop our ability to focus. Here are 3 ways I have found to improve focus
