Day #113: The Dash by Linda Ellis

The poem ,The Dash by Linda Ellis is one of the most remarkable poems I have read in a long time. Not because it is one of those inspiring poems that make you feel somehow for a few seconds and then you are back to normal and don’t know what to make of that inspiration but because it is one of those things you read and makes you really think and evaluate your life.

I know that’s not the most fun thing to do for a lot of people and most of us will just like to get one with life and care less about some poem telling us to evaluate our lives. But I think Socrates was right when he said ‘the unexamined life is not worth living’.

Here is a video of the poem.

For the the poem itself, you can read on Linda’s website.: www.linda-ellis.com
