A new day, a new week, a new month… The last month of 2014! Wow, its seems like cliché to say the year has flown by. But yes, 11 months have gone by quickly. For anyone who is keeping scores, December is that month where you get to really do all the things you have pushed away and procrastinating on for the year. Most people love the late push to achieve that big goal whether is it to exercise regularly, stick to a healthy diet, start a venture or anything you consider your big goal for the year 2014.
December is also the month you really start planning for next year. Making up your mind on what the goals for the new year will be. You don’t have to wait till the last moment to scramble something on paper as your goal for next year just 5 minutes to midnight on 31st December. You can take your time to think and evaluate the year, take note of the things you are grateful for and set the Big, Hairy,Audacious, Goals (BHAG) for the coming year.
As for me, December is going to be that month to really slow down, catch up with people I have missed all year-long. Really pause. Read. I have read in bits during the year but I want to really read something solid. My top book choices for December is to read Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art ( I just got a paper back copy) and read Anthony Robbins’ MONEY Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom. Quite appropriate to start doing some financial planning.
What will you do in December?
